With its triple redundancy architecture, it ensures continuous operation even when facing harsh environmental conditions commonly found in oil & gas, chemical and power generation facilities. The built-in fault-tolerant design automatically isolates faulty channels while maintaining system integrity.

As the brain of TRICONEX safety systems, the MP3101 features three independent processing channels that execute control logic in parallel. The Motorola MPC860 32-bit processor running at 50MHz, combined with 6MB Flash PROM storage, enables efficient handling of complex control tasks. This makes it particularly suitable for safety instrumented systems (SIS) and emergency shutdown systems requiring SIL-3 compliance.
